Here are some very useful links that we've found over the last several years, now while I've got nearly a hundred rocketry related sites bookmarked on my computer I'm only going to include here links to vendors and informational sites that I have used personally and had good experiences with.

First off informational links.

The Rocketry Forum

The Rocketry Forum is the most informational message boards I've found on rocketry. Regardless of your level of involvement these are a great bunch of people with a wealth of knowledge and experience, and even more importantly is the fact that they are willing and enjoy sharing it. A great resource for the new or experienced rocketeer.

Rocketry online is another good source. The message boards on this site seem to be more geared toward high power rocketry but again there are some very helpful people here in both the message boards and in the chat room.

If and when you get into rocketry this site will become invaluable. With reviews of over 1400 rocket kits that are on the market as well as many tools and calculators it's a wealth of knowledge. If you are trying to decide between two kits, you can go here and read reviews on both of them, see their build and flight characteristics and much more. I very highly recommend this site. You can even keep your own flight logs here and post reviews yourself.

Info Central

Now this site is geared more towards high power rocketry, but once you start to make the decision to go that route this site has a ton of useful information to help you learn and use many of the techniques needed in high power rocketry.

The above sites would be my recommended sites for rocketry information and research, especially TRF, (the rocketry forum) if you can't find something ask it there and someone will either know it or be able to direct you to a place you'll be able to find an answer.

The largest supplier/maker of mid and high power rocket motors, they've also got allot of helpful resources on their website with motor information.

Here is a quick list of the online vendors that I personally have dealt with and had good service from, if you need parts or equipment don't hesitate to contact these vendors for goods. Remember I've had good luck with these people so feel confident and please help to support our rocketry vendors if you can.

BSD High Power Rocketry

Great kits at BSD and good service, if and when you dwell into high power be sure to check them out. As you can see from our high power fleet we are very impressed with Mark and his kits. Thanks for the great support and kits Mark.

Missile Works Electronics

If and when you're ready for high power electronics, these are some of the most reputable altimeters out there, and they were even easy enough for a guy like me to figure out.

Rocketman Recovery Systems

These are great high power parachutes, strong and reliable, they seem like they can not tangle, and always deploy. If you're serious about your recovery system you should check these out.

Public Missiles Limited (PML)

Some awesome high power kits here.

Fliskits's

A new and upcoming rocket company run by Jim Flis of The Rocketry Forum fame..LOL These are great kits a little different and unique as compared to the typical 3FNC rocket. You'll love these kits.

AeroSpace Specialty Products

A great resource for rocketry parts and supplies, most of our scratchbuilt fleet has parts from ASP in their construction. They also have some unique kits and other items so be sure to check them out.

Ok now for the more storefront type vendors.

Remember if we've listed vendors here it means that I've had excellent service from them, so please feel confident and help to support our rocketry vendors if you can.

Wildman Rocketry

Fast becoming my favorite vendor, outrageous specials a couple times a year, and the Wildman club benefits work out great if you fly much, great customer service on everything from low power to high power kits, accessories, motors, hardware, etc.. you name it and Tim can get it for you with great service and in a timely manner.

Performance Hobbies

A little bit of everything here, accessories, motors, parachutes, rocket kits and much more spanning low power up through high power rocketry. Quick shipping and good service.

Magnum Rockets Hobbies

Again a little bit of everything from low to high power, way too much to list here, great prices and again quick shipping.

Commonwealth Model Rocket and Hobby Superstore

Low power to high power, kits, supplies, parts, motors and about everything here, quick shipping and support.

Giant Leap Rocketry

Onsite vendor for some of the launches we go to, and a great vendor at that. Our source for kevlar and other high power needs.

Rocketry Organizations

The two main rocketry organizations in the U.S. are Tripoli Rocketry Association (TRA) and the National Association of Rocketry (NAR).  If you want to get involved in high power rocketry you will have to join one of these two clubs. Without certification from one of these clubs you'll be unable to purchase high power motors.

In brief, many feel that TRA is more high power associated and well as EX or experimental. If that's the course you're looking into they may be the better group for you.

NAR can and does certify you for high power, but they also get into allot of rocketry contests, scale and flying so if that's your idea or rocketry fun look into them more.

Again there are many, many more vendors and sites out there, too much for me to include them all, however if there's something in particular you are looking for and can't find it on these sites, please feel free to contact me and I'll check and see if I have anything else that my help you out.

Thanks
