Absolutely one of our favorite rockets, not only do they look great they fly just as well.
This is our second one above, we had to rebuild the first after a bad ejection charge, it didn't have enough force to eject the nose cone and para chute so the rocket turned back over at apogee and came in ballistic.

This is what it looked like after coming in and lawn darting. Not really a big deal you would think, but when you've spent hours constructing a rocket and painting and finishing it to look nice it does give ya a bit of a sick feeling in your gut to see them turn over and come in like this.
The motor basically malfunctioned and didn't have enough oomph in the ejection charge, I filed a claim with Estes and they were great. They sent me another Big Daddy kit as well as a new pack of motors. Now that really is nice customer service.
While rebuilding the second rocket we made some modifications and installed a longer motor mount (24 mm) so that it would be able to handle larger motors.
Since then we've flown it several times on E9-4 motors and they are great flights so good I'd suggest to Estes to modify the original kits to fly this motor, they fly like they're made for eachother. We've also had a great fight with an AT F21 motor, it's built stock with no other modifications other than the longer motor mount.
This technically would make this bird both a low power rocket and a mid power rocket flying on either type motor.
